Meet Our Founder
With over four decades in the automotive industry, I’ve worked in nearly every aspect of the trade—repairing and inspecting vehicles, managing wholesale auctions, and selling cars at a new car dealership. My journey began in 1978, learning the trade from experienced mentors who not only taught me the technical side of the business but also revealed its less honorable practices. These early lessons inspired my commitment to integrity and fairness in all dealings.
Over the years, I’ve owned a successful body shop, earned state licensing as a motor vehicle inspector, and gained firsthand knowledge of the retail automotive sales process. While these experiences sharpened my skills, they also highlighted flaws in the system—designed more to manipulate customers than to serve them. This motivated me to create a business built on transparency and trust, giving consumers the advocacy they need and deserve.
The Spark Behind SmartSale Auto Advisors
The idea for SmartSale Auto Advisors came to life when I helped my daughter-in-law sell her car. She was offered a shockingly low trade-in value at the dealership. I stepped in to prepare and sell the vehicle, ultimately securing nearly $4,000 more than the dealer’s offer. This experience opened my eyes to how many others could benefit from a knowledgeable advocate by their side.
From that moment, I was determined to help others avoid undervaluing their vehicles. After researching state laws and refining my approach, I developed a system that simplifies the selling process while delivering exceptional results—securely, efficiently, and profitably.
